Millepetit Ensoleillé Gite

An18th century cottage situated on the banks of the picturesque Canal du Midi

This Canal is a masterpiece that every one should see" Journal des Savants June 7 1688

Bienvenue a Millepetit

Our Gite is almost uniquely located in a handsomely restored 18th century rustic farmhouse on the banks of the picturesque Canal du Midi on the Domaine de Millepetit, only a 20 minute drive from Carcassonne and its famous, mediaeval fortified town, “La Cite”.

The farmhouse, which has briefly appeared on TV chef, Rick Stein’s “French Odyssey”, has been restored with 21st century comforts in mind, creating a welcoming home from home, whilst retaining much of its French country charm, with stone features, wooden beams and rafters set in the most superb canal-side location on a small working farm.

Millepetit and its surroundings are suitable for those who appreciate the beauty of the countryside in a farm environment whilst combining it with boating along the Canal du Midi, walking and cycling along the towpaths, exploring the hills and mountains whilst discovering the history and culture of the Languedoc Roussillon region. In such a diverse region, you can enjoy sunbathing on beaches or skiing in the mountains, depending on the time of year. We would highly recommend your own form of transport to truly profit and maximise your enjoyment of this beautiful part of France.
